Each year the American Institute of Architects New York chapter recognizes outstanding architectural design from New York firms and global practitioners doing work in NYC. Their annual program honors work in architecture, interiors, urban design, and research and conceptual projects via juried selection. For the AIANY 2018 Design Awards program, we created a prestigious and future-forward visual identity with a custom wordmark, astral serifs, and a dramatic palette. The design was carried across a variety of program materials and the exhibition design, where custom-colored acrylic shelving cast dramatic light gradients across the gallery walls.
