Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability
Orienting a new generation of eco-conscious citizens
- Wayfinding
Collaborators: Studio Gang, SCAPE, and Atelier Ten
Meeting the urgency of today’s critical moment, the Doerr School of Sustainability is Stanford University’s first new school in 75 years, educating a new generation of eco-conscious citizens tackling climate change head-on and at scale. Once—Future contributed stakeholder engagement and signage, wayfinding, and placemaking strategy for the school’s new campus and indoor/outdoor commons concept led by Studio Gang. Through in-person and virtual workshops with staff, administrators, and student representatives, we crafted a shared vision for the system’s objectives, tone, materiality, form, and storytelling techniques that the school could take forward into future phases of work.
